am weg zurück in mein gästehaus schaue ich noch bei THAT DAM vorbei - die "schwarze Stupa" soll ursprünglich mit gold überzogen gewesen sein!on my way back to my guesthouse i´m visiting THAT DAM -the "black stupa" was once coated with a layer of gold ... as the legend goes!
neuer tag, neues glück ... nachdem ich erfahren habe, dass meine trecking- bzw. bootstour zu den elefanten in den "mekong" gefallen ist - zuwenig anmeldungen - erkunde ich per wackelbus auf holperstaubstraße die nähere umgebung von vientiane!a new day is born ... i got to know that my planned trecking-and boat-tour will not take place - not enough registrations - so i´m exploring the surroundings of vientiane with a rickety bus on a dusty and bumpy road!

einfach sensationell - ich habe hier stunden verbracht ... gesessen und gelesen, fotografiert, herumspaziert,...it´s sensational - i spent hours of sitting and reading a book, taking pictures, walking around,...
dieser schamane verliess 1975 laos und ging nach thailand, um dort einen ähnlichen park zu errichten ... er starb 1996!this shamane left laos in 1975, moved to thailand and there he established a similar park ... he died in 1996!
gut, dass helllichter tag ist...thanks that we´ve got daylight ...
... bei dunkelheit muss es hier ganz schön gruselig sein...by night it´ll be quite spooky ...

ich bin begeistert von diesem friedlichen audruck der gesichter!i´m so enthused by the peacul expression of the faces!
der tuk-tuk-fahrer hält siesta ... aber er hat mich anscheinend bemerkt - 2 sekunden, nachdem ich das foto geknippst habe, startet er schon auf mich zu ... und erklärt mir, dass er in einer viertelstunde nach vientiane fährt ... und er nur halb so lang fährt wie der bus! da hat er leider die falsche erwischt - ich bin nämlich nicht in (besichtigungs)eile!the tuk-tuk-driver is having siesta ... but apparently he recognized me - 2 seconds after my foto shooting he´s starting towards me ... and explains that he´s leaving for vientiane in 15 minutes ... and it´ll take me half the time of the bus! he´s got the wrong one - i´m not in a (sightseeing) hurry!
die kinder fahren von der schule nach hause!the kids are going home from school!
