ich habe genug vom stadtleben. heute gehts aufs land ... i´m fed up with city life. today i´m going rural ...
...mein gästehaus organisiert die typischen ausflüge zu den umliegenden dörfern... my guesthouse organizes the typical trips to the nearby villages...
...wo die frauen (in alter tracht gekleidet - kommt bei den touristen gut an!) ... where the women (dressed in their tradtional costumes - the tourists like it!)...
...ihre waren feilbieten!...are offering their goods!
nebenan spielen die kinder...next door the children are playing...
heute regnet es (ziemlich untypisch für den winter in thailand) ... und unser abenteuer-ausflug wird im wahrsten sinn des wortes zum abenteuer!today it´s raining (that is quite untypical for thailand´s winter) ... and our adventure trip is literally going to be an adventure!
der boden wird zur rutschbahn ...the ground is getting slippery...
...und unser armer tour guide muss einen teilnehmer aus dem wasser fischen ...and our poor tour guide has to rescue one of the participants who fell into the water
es ist gott sei dank nichts passiert!heaven´s sake it turned out all right!
das erinnert mich doch gaaanz stark an meine maui-wanderung!that´s reminding me strongly on my maui hike!

die wolken hängen tief ... ich genieße den regen und die FRISCHE luft!the clouds are low ... i´m enjoying the rain and the FRESH air!
das nächste abenteuer wartet schon auf uns!the next adventure is waiting for us!
und schon sitzen gabi (aus kanada) und ich auf dem rücken eines elefanten ...and in a blink gabi (from canada) and i are sitting on the back of the elephant...
... es geht entlang des flusses auf und ab ... ehrlich, ich habe mir elefanten-reiten gemütlicher vorgestellt!... it takes us along the river up and down ... honestly, i supposed elephant riding to be more comfortable!
wir haben uns auch bei kompo entschuldigt (wir sind ja nicht unbedingt leichtgewichte) ... ich habe einige zeit überlegt, ob ich diesen touristen-wahnsinn mitmachen soll - die neugierde hat gesiegt!we apologized to kompo (we´re not really lightweights) ... i was considering quite a while, wether attending this kind of tourist-madness - curiosity was the winner!
und weil wir ja schon am fluss sind ...and already being at the river...
... folgt der dritte teil des abenteuers ... bambus-rafting!... there the third part of the adventure is following ... bamboo rafting!
das ist übrigens graham, der gerettete!by the way this is graham, the rescued one!
vom 4. abenteuer war in der tourbeschreibung aber nichts zu lesen - wir fahren mit einem pick-up ... das ist ja schon wieder asphaltierte unterlage, den "weg" zuvor konnte ich beim besten willen nicht fotografieren ... hatte alle hände voll zu tun, um nicht vom wagen zu fallen!in the tour description there was nothing written about the 4th adventure - we´re riding a pick-up ... here we´re back on a sealed road, the one before i was not able to take a picture ... i got my hands full not to fall down from the car!
