wie beginnt man, besser gesagt frau, einen wirklich guten tag in vientiane?
natürlich mit einem café au lait, ich sag lieber cappuccino, und einem herrlich frischen croissant!

how do you start a real good day in vientiane?
of course with café au lait, i prefer the word cappuccino, and a superbly fresh croissant!

und weil es heute in der früh geregnet hat, ist die luft angenehm frisch und "kühl" - daher mache ich heute eine kleine sightseeing-tour zum wahrzeichen von laos: der goldenen stupa pha that luang

it rained in the morning and now the air is fresh and "cool" - therefore today i´m doing a small sightseeing tour to the landmark of laos: the golden stupa pha that luang

nicht nur ich fotografiere...

it´s not only me who´s taking pictures... 

vor vier jahren habe ich an genau derselben stelle gestanden und jetzt kommt es mir vor, wie wenn es gestern gewesen wäre...

four years ago i stood at the same point as today und now it seems that it just has been yesterday... 

ich liebe die unterschiedlichen buddha-antlitze...

i love all those different buddha faces....

im tempel neben der stupa sind alle wände und auch die decke bemalt mit geschichten aus dem leben buddhas...

in the temple beside the stupa there are all walls and the ceiling covered with pictures of  the life of buddha...

ich komme mir vor wie im märchen, die atmosphäre ist sagenhaft schön!

i feel like stepping into a fairy tale, the atmosphere is unbelievably stunning!

buddha - über alles erhaben...

buddha who rises above all...

einfach nur liegen und sein...

just lie down and be... 

das ist das wahre leben...

that´s authenticity of life...

stupas rund um den tempel gedenken des todes wichtiger persönlichkeiten...

stupas around the temple remind of the death of important persons... 

im schatten eines baumes lässt es sich perfekt meditieren...

in the shade of a tree there you can have a perfect meditation... 

wo die touristen sind, sind die souvenir-standl nicht weit...

where you can find tourists you can be sure to find souvenir stands, too...

aus sicherer entfernung im angenehmen schatten der bäume haben die herren polizisten alles im griff...

out of harm´s way standing in the cool shade of the trees the policemen have everything under control...

noch einen letzten blick zurück...
