da sind sie, die vorläufer der sierra nevada - ich liebe diese gelben berge!here they are, the forelands of the sierra nevada - i love those yellow mountains!
das grün der bäume tut dem auge allerdings auch sehr gut...however, the green color of the trees are joy for my eyes, too...
... und deshalb übernachte ich inmitten des waldes in einer kleinen romantischen hütte!and therefore i´m staying the night amidst the forest in a small romantic hut!

die giganten unter den bäumendie sequoia sind die ältesten und mächtigsten bäume der welt und sie wachsen nur hier an den abhängen der sierra nevada!

kings canyon ... ein kleiner vorgeschmack auf den grand canyon!kings canyon ... a little foretaste of grand canyon!
man kann entweder (so wie ich) eine wanderung wagen mit dem adrenalin-kick, eventuell auf einen bären zu stoßen (die kommen sogar bis zum parkplatz, wenn sie essbares riechen!)...either you can take a walk with a kick of adrenaline (so as i do) of running across a black bear (they even come to the car park, if they smell something eatable!)...
...oder man nimmt ein gutes buch zur hand und macht sich´s am ufer des king river gemütlich!...or you take a good book and make yourself comfortable at the bank of the river king!
