wolkenkratzer, so weit das auge reicht...

skyscrapers, as far as the eye can see...

die autobahnen stehen auf riesenstelzen und winden sich wie ein bandwurm durch die stadt...

the highways are built on huge stilts and curl through the city like a tapeworm...

es wird abend in tokyo...

it´s getting dark in tokyo... 

wir gehen durch die nobelstraße ginza...

we walk along the fashion mile ginza...

ah, heimatliches funkeln...

ah, sparkling of home... 

wir speisen den letzten abend in einem österreichischen restaurant...

the last evening we´re having dinner  at an austrian restaurant...

oben die autobahn, unten eine vierspurige straße - da ist was los!

schlapfen - eine eigene wissenschaft in japan!
wo du auch hinkommst, es erwarten dich am eingang schlapfen. du musst so kunstvoll aus deinen schuhen schlüpfen, dass du sofort in die schlapfen steigst - boden berühren mit den füßen, das geht gar nicht!

slippers - this is a special science in japan!
wherever you come by, there are slippers waiting for you at the entrance. you have to take off your shoes skillfully and immediately put on your slippers - don´t touch the ground with your feet, that won´t do!

ja, und die toiletten in japan sind high tech geräte!
sie sind klo, bidet, fön und was weiß ich noch in einem...
und wo ist bitte die ganz normale spülung?

die ist nämlich bei jedem klo wo anders - bin ich froh, dass ich das schriftzeichen für wasser kenne!

every toilet has it´s specific flush - i´m glad to know the character for "water"!
