nach tagen am und im wasser ist wieder mal eine regenwald-wanderung angesagt - vorbei am mossman river, wo man derzeit noch schwimmen kann ... wenn es dann noch wärmer (uff!) wird, kommen nämlich die krokodile und die sind eher von der unfreundlichen sorte!after days at the beach and in the sea i´m heading for a walk in the rainforest - passing the mossman river, where you can go swimming now ... if it´s getting warmer (dear me!) the crocodiles come to live here und they´re not the very friendly ones!

und auch dieser hier ist ein besonders schönes exemplarand this one is very beautiful, too
diese wurzeln sind phänomenal und kolossal!these roots are phenomenal and whopping!
was an den baumstämmen so allerhand wächst, unglaublich!you can find a lot of interesting plants growing on the trunks of the trees!
und ähnlich wie der ozean ist auch der regenwald eine welt für sich - alles darf so sein, wie es ist, die blätter fallen, bleiben irgendwo im geäst hängen und verrotten ... und bilden gleichzeitig schutz und nährboden ... ja, eine perfekte welt!and like the ocean the rainforest is an internal world - everything is allowed to be as it is, the leaves are falling down, come to rest upon branches and decompose ... and are conservating or providing a nutrition ground .... yes, this is a perfect world!
und obwohl es fürchterlich schwül ist, fühle ich mich im regenwald total wohl!and although it´s very humid i love the rainforest!
wachsblumen ... ja, da findet man alle pflanzen, die wir zu hause in kleinen töpfen hegen und pflegen!ich habe heute eine geführte wanderung mit einem aboriginal (vom stamm der kuku yalanji) gemacht, das war ein großartiges erlebnis! ich habe erfahren, wie die großeltern noch gelebt haben, ihre "hütten" gebaut haben, gejagt haben, deren wissen über flora und fauna, über die zeremonien und feste und über die vielen heiligen plätze und deren geistwesen! und stellt euch vor, eine touristin hat eine wasserstelle am fluss fotografiert, die eine besondere kultstätte nur für frauen ist ... und auf dem foto befand sich eine aboroginal frau mit ihren baby ... die aber in "wirklichkeit" nicht dort war, während die besucherin das foto schoss! es ist ein geistwesen, das diese stelle beschützt!
zum abschluss hörten wir noch ein didgeridoo ... alles in allem äußerst beeindruckend!

today i did a guided walk with an aboriginal (of the tribe of the kuku yalanji), this was an exciting experience! i heard how his grandparents lived, how they built their "huts", how they hunted, their knowledge of flora and fauna, about their ceremonies and celebrations, the numerous sacred places and their spirits! and imagine, a tourist sent a foto of a river´s waterhole, which is a very sacred place only for women... and on the foto there was a aboriginal woman with her baby...but in "reality" there was nobody when the lady took the foto! it was the spirit who is taking care for this special place!
at the end i listened to a didgeridoo ... altogehter it was awe-inspiring!
am nächsten tag mache ich mit sonia (aus barcelona) einen ausflug mit der seilbahn nach KURANDA!the next day i´m going on a trip with sonia (from barcelona) taking the rainforest cableway to KURANDA!
es ist ein tolles gefühl ca. 7 km lang über dem regenwald dahinzugleiten! das ist einer der längsten seilbahnen der welt!it is a marvellous feeling gliding over the rainforest for almost 7 km! this is one of the longest cableways of the world!
barron fallszur zeit eher "mini" wasserfälle, die regenzeit steht bevor, dann rauscht hier das wasser wieder zu tale!
at the time these are "mini" falls, the rainy season is coming and then the water will rush down towards the valley!

zum abschluss machen wir noch einen gemütlichen spaziergang am meer...finally we´re strolling along the beach...
wieder einmal ein gelungener tag...once again a successful day...
und weil wir den ganzen tag über die verschiedenen völker und deren religionen diskutiert haben, verkleide ich mich am abend kurzerhand als muslimin!and because of our discussions about the different peoples and their religions i´m disguising myself as a muslim woman at night!
