frodo muss schon wieder zu hause bleiben...
wir fahren zum friseur und ich genehmige mir zuvor noch eine thai-massage!
once again frodo has to stay at home...
we go to the hairdresser´s and before i have a thai massage!
und am abend sind wir bei fongs familie zum grillen eingeladen!
and in the evening we´re invited for barbecue at fong´s family!
es gibt fisch in der salzkruste
we have fish in a salt crust
wir sitzen draußen hinter dem haus, gerhard hat eine selbst gebackene kiwi-topfentorte mitgebracht. also, wie ich da abnehmen soll, das frage ich mich... da nutzen die ganzen situps nichts!
we´re sitting in the backyard, gerhard brought with him a homemade kiwi-curd cheese-cake. unfortunately that´s not the way to lose weight...even the situps won´t benefit!
das ist typisches laotisches essen - so scharf, dass der ganze rachen brennt wie feuer!
this is lao food - it´s so spicy that your throat starts burning like fire!
und gegrilltes hendl gibt´s auch!
and we have grilled chicken!

wir gehen einkaufen - fred und fong laden ihre freunde ein, es wird mein abschiedsessen!
we go shopping - fred and fong invited their friends to come over for my farewell-dinner!
dem hund dürfte es zu dreckig sein, drum zieht er es vor, seine siesta am sessel abzuhalten!
it might be too dirty on the ground, so the dog prefers having its siesta on the chair!
die arbeiter sind total vermummt, damit sie nicht zu viel staub einatmen müssen...
the workers are totally mummed for not inhaling too much of the dust...
fred ist zufrieden - er hat alles bekommen, was braucht!
fred is pleased - he´s got everything he wanted!
klein noah ist natürlich mit von der partie!
little noah is in on the party tonight!
alles ist vorbereitet, der hausherr ist entspannt und zufrieden!
everything´s prepared - landlord fred is relaxed and content!
