war heute mit robert, carlo und hiro im at&t park, dem stadion der SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (website: www.giants.mlb.com)die lokalmatadoren spielten gegen die LOS ANGELES DODGERS ... und natürlich haben die giants gewonnen, yippieh!
das stadion fasst mehr als 40.000 zuschauer - wie alles in usa, gigantisch! interessant wäre auch, das gesamtgewicht der zuschauer vor und nach einem spiel zu vergleichen - es is a wahnsinn, was die hawern ... da wird da allan vom zuaschaun schlecht!

the stadium has a capacity of more than 40.000 people - and like everything in usa it´s gigantic! it would also be interesting to compare the total weight of all spectators before and after the play - it drives you mad watching them eating!
ganz hab ich´s ja nicht verstanden, was da so abgeht während der neun runden! eigentlich ist es ein ziemlich statisches spiel - ich denke, es erfordert jedoch höchste konzentration und auch absolute sprinter-qualität!i didn´t understand all the rules, but at least i got that the play lasts for nine innings ("rounds")! it´s a quite static play but i think it affords high concentration and also excellent sprinting skills!
der pitcher er versucht, den ball seinem team-kollegen (catcher=fänger) so zuzuwerfen, dass der batter der gegnerischen mannschaft (das ist der mit dem holzprügel!) den ball nicht treffen kann (baseball-profis entschuldigen bitte diese stümperhafte kurzversion!) wer es genau wissen will, kann unter wikipedia alles nachlesen!

he tries to throw the ball to his team colleague (catcher) so that the batcher of the opposite team (the man with the bat) cannot hit the ball (please, baseball professionals forgive me, i´m sure my explanations are bad!) whoever wants to know more about baseball, you will find a lot on wikipedia´s website!

as you can see the catcher and the batter are ready to catch or hit(bat) the ball
der batter hat den ball getroffen, lässt alles fallen und düst los (und wird vom batter zum runner)...the batter met the ball and starts immediately running, leaving everything behind (now he turns from the batter to the runner)...
und wie sieht nun ein perfekter homerun aus?
wenn es dem batter gelungen ist, den ball über die spielfeldbegrenzung hinaus zu schlagen, dann schafft er es, alle "bases" abzulaufen und somit auf seinen ausgangspunkt (homeplate - 4. base) zurückzukehren
